- “Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and
on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all

of the holy Spirit, teaching them
to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you
always, until the end of the age.“

- The Church is universal. Christ made salvation possible for us through
His death on the cross, and the merits of the cross are intended and
available for all people through the Church.
- Preaching to all nations means presenting the truth of the Faith to
everyone.
- Missionaries are people (often priests and religious) who actively work
to bring the Gospel to the ends of the globe in order to convert people
to Christ and His Church.
- Evangelization is now needed on two fronts. The first is to peoples who
have not heard the Gospel, like in many parts of Africa and Asia. The
second front is places that have heard the Gospel historically but have
largely abandoned it. This includes the secularized cultures of North
America and Europe.
